The evidence in support of God is far more profound, compelling and quantifiable than a whole host of "scientific" theories generally accepted as "true" by both the public and the scientific community. It's not just viruses.... evolution, the existence of dinosaurs, the heliocentric solar system, space travel, gravity, etc. All of these theories have plenty of holes. None can be "proven with a link." And there are plenty more "scientific truths" that land in this category (science, of course, is itself evidence in support of intelligent design).

Virologists "fail" because they can't offer proof AND the evidence to support their position is poor and does not hold up to serious scrutiny.

The Scientific Method and God are not at odds. Science offers far more substantial evidence of an unseen God than of an unseen virus.
